That Will Do!

Another Red Admiral

For Fun Friday we retraced our steps wheels in East Lothian, hoping to find an item seen a week ago - but first stopped at Smeaton Nursery Tearoom for coffee. Despite recent rain, the outdoor seating was dry enough and had the advantage of birdwatching while consuming scones, today it was a pair of chaffinch, two generations of robin, a great tit and a couple of dunnock, though none braved the table top.

Our friends, the red admirals, were out in force again, their colours bright in the sunshine especially when feeding on these intense blue flowers.

From here we revisited the reuse Hub in Dunbar, discovered that this was not in fact the correct location of said item, so, after checking out the charity shops, proceeded to the North Berwick hub.

Fascinating as this was, they did not have what we were looking for either but the trip was not in vain as we found something that would suffice meantime at Second Time Around in Fenton Barns.

We missed a heavy downpour while there and were watching dark clouds as we drove home, surprised to note that the roads were dry, and managed to reach home just before a shower of such minuscule proportions that it barely reached the ground.
