2025 Friday — Friends

For breakfast this morning Mr. Fun & I enjoyed a shared table oozing with history. This past Saturday a written note arrived in my phone asking if we'd be available for Friday morning breakfast. We've known Bob & Cheryl since they were college-age young adults and we were soon to be almost thirty-something. We all attended the same church.

The four of our lives are filled with memories that include one another. We circled the globe in our conversation; well, not really! We covered Idaho to Southern California. They now live somewhere near Boise and we all have friends scattered from there to here and beyond. We caught-up on what their two adult kids are doing. We all touched on the mental transition of retiring, moving, and all the emotion and moods that no one told us would accompany that.

Our time with Bob & Cheryl was brief but so nourishing for our souls. We think a "Rancho Road & Main Street Gang” reunion would be deeply satisfying -- that's an event that will happen in Heaven.

This summer has been decorated with flowers and food and friends passing thru. What could be better?
