Rochdale canal

Hebden Bridge to Sowerby Bridge 5.25 miles.

My last towpath walk of this Summer.

Took the train to HB, where I sat watching two volunteers tidy the attractive station courtyard while I enjoyed a coffee and a sausage sarnie from the station cafe.

I walked along the towpath via Mytholmroyd, and Luddenden Foot to Sowerby Bridge. The Rochdale canal begins/finishes here.

At SB station I partook of a cup of Yorkshire Tea (£2.50) in the Jubilee Refreshment Room (see extra) before taking the train back to Leeds.

My project for September is to swim 10km for the charity Comic Relief.
