Moving in?

Imagine my surprise when I saw this magpie on the Resident Gardener's plant (mainly orchids) table on the back verandah. It was looking through the glass doors expectantly at us. I rushed to get my camera but could have walked slowly as it wasn't going anywhere in a hurry. And so it posed, a handsome bird with the brightest white bits.

I hate to admit that one of us gave it a little bit of food which it stuffed in its beak and then flew away. I wonder if it will come back.
