Summer Fayre

It may be very end of summer, but the weather stayed fine for the annual Summer fete at the St. Anne’s Care Home, which is round the corner from us. They know us from donating the old Retro magazines.

There was a lovely atmosphere with all sorts of stalls, as well as a visit from this adorable pony who was rescued by Hugo’s Home Farm, which rescues ill treated horses and ponies with some living out their retirement in Murcia, Spain, and others coming to live in the UK. This chap now lives a tranquil life in Musselburgh now.

As well as patting ponies we ended up buying a huge cherry Madeira cake, which is made by the care home chef.

Now back home and catching up on Saturday kitchen on tv, drinking tea.

I hope you’re having a nice Saturday.
