Chelsea Ladies at Kingsmeadow

Had a really good nights sleep , much longer than usual. It had rained a lot and I had not heard it at all.

Did some sorting of clothes and took some things to charity shop. Then caught a train to Norbiton and walked with a friend and met my daughter’s family at the Chelsea Woman’s Football ground, Kingsmeadow, in Kingston. 
I haven’t been to a football match like that for many many years but the others are keen followers so I was pleased to go along today. Chelsea women’s team won 3 trophies last year so hope to do so again. This was a pre season friendly against Milan which they won quite easily 4-1 and were trying out some new young players alongside the more established ones. Sometimes this team plays at Stamford Bridge where the men’s Chelsea team plays . Chelsea played Fulham today and won 2-1.

At the end they did a parade round the ground with all the trophies and other players who had contributed but were not on the pitch today. A good atmosphere and a good view.

Caught a bus back into Kingston and we went to Joe and the Juice..…nice juices but not good cakes.

Back home before the rain started again and will watch some of the women’s rugby!
