Cyclamen hederifolium

Apologies to Miranda1008 for uploading a similar photo to hers of yesterday (except hers was better!). And grateful thanks to her as well for informing me of its Latin name, and its nickname of Sowbread. I think it’s also called ivy-leaved cyclamen, for obvious reasons.

Like Miranda, I have these popping up all over the place in my garden. I took a few snaps of them today because I’m running out of subjects and I love these little flowers (but not quite as much as I love all the tiny violas that are springing up in between the bricks of our patio at the moment!).

There wasn’t much time for photography again today because I’m trying to beat the clock before the Atrium re-opens on Wednesday morning. So far I have 102 cards lined up on my hall windowsill. It looks a lot, but I know when I put them into the large card stand it will suddenly look quite a paltry amount and I will need to spread them around a bit. But I’m feeling encouraged, if somewhat spaced out with weariness.
