Day #12, Peña Oroel

A walk just out of the Pyrenees proper and a revisit. 

The Peña Oroel is a massive ship of a mountain but once you have scaled the 700m or so up the side you pop out of the woodland to be be faced by this ridge.

What we weren't expecting though was this beautiful sea of gorse, it was everywhere and incredibly bright to look at. It is called Echinospartum horridum and once you've smelled it you know why!
