Cardinal in American Beauty Berry

I moved my Dancing Birds so Kent could cut the grass there and then pulled the long grass and weeds along the brick border of the cat garden.

I sat with MiniMe for a while before going in to make homemade Mac & Cheese and bake a Strawberry Rhubarb pie

I often see birds and squirrels eating the berries from the American Beauty Berry bush but they usually are deep in the bush so getting a good photo is not an option.

Ms Cardinal did me a favour and perched where I could get a good shot of her, even one with a berry in her mouth.

The bush is heavy laden with berries this year as you can see in the photo in extras.
