Saga Sapphire

Had to go down to Greenock again on business and again the river drew me like a magnet. It was a quiet day on the Clyde, a few guys fishing, a naval vessel exercising across the water and Helensburgh bathed in sunshine.

The Saga Sapphire was berthed at the terminal awaiting the return of her passengers from their day trip to Glasgow. This ship started the life as the MS Europa of the Hapag Lloyd line but is now one of a half dozen Saga cruise ships.

On the way home I saw some of the coaches returning to the mother ship to allow it to sail shortly after 6.00pm when the tide was right in.
