Rutland

After a decidedly average breakfast where we had to make our own coffee and self service Premier Inn style, we headed off for a circuit of Rutland Water on the bikes. Some of the 24mile route was far back from the waterside, but overall it was a nice circuit and we had a good coffee en route too.
With time to kill and in search of lunch we went to some gardens just up from the hotel. These turned out to be the show gardens that used to be used for the Gardeners World TV show in the 80s and 90s . There were 38 different mini gardens, each like a TV studio and in a different theme. This made it really quite inspiring.
Finally we headed to our last stopover of the holiday, a small country pub near family. An evening and Indian takeaway with family and a final drink in the pub before bed.
