"That's a great ball!"
Wolves 2 Everton 3
Premier League
I've missed this Everton! A team wanting to play attacking football and create chances, making for a thoroughly entertaining game...I'm not sure Aaron felt the same way though.
Mind you, I didn't even get to celebrate, being in with the Wolves fans again.
We tried to make a day of it by going into Wolverhampton on the train -complete with a fare dodger getting kicked off at Wellington. Avoiding the lack lustre fan-zone, we were in the ground early watching the lunchtime game and I took a lot of pictures trying to capture these pre-match flames as the teams came out.
It was much more entertaining than the game back in March. Wolves didn't play badly and with plenty of enthusiasm even if Everton were the more comfortable and composed. Being the Blues though it's never quite comfortable and twice they let Wolves back into the game with goals that could've been defended better. The quality added in the summer, particularly Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall, have made a difference.
Behind us today was somebody exclaiming that everything was a 'great ball'.
9 times it of 10 it really wasn't.
