Mellow light
The light had a hint of autumn about it. Not many on the prom this morning. A few swimmers in the water despite the tide still out. Though the advice is to not swim after rain as that's the prime time for polluted water from outflows.
Enjoyed a leisurely toast, homemade marmalade and coffee breakfast.
Just before 10.30 Mr went to the Quaker meeting. I planted snowdrop bulbs at the side of the shed and a few dotted in the garden. Also planted crocuses at the base of the fruit trees and various locations in the garden and tête a tête daffodils. Fingers crossed for the coming spring.
Stewed the windfall apples ready to freeze.
In the afternoon waited for someone interested in the shelf unit we had in our garage to come and collect. She stated she'd arrive after 3pm but didn't appear until nearly 6! And then the unit would not fit in the boot despite measurements given. I'll have to be firm about timekeeping when she arrives with a van.
The shelf unit was supposed to remain in the garage of the previous house but the removal company included it. Probably what happened was on the first day worker was informed it was to stay but the next day and change of staff the information was lost.
The local Nextdoor site has been useful for passing items on.
Managed to catch Kyro enjoying today's sunshine. He's also found sunny spots indoors which will be good in winter.
Pleasant evening everyone.
