After searching a lot of my many clumps of common milkweed, today I finally stumbled on a tiny monarch caterpillar. The photo (bottom) is way larger than life. The little fella was about a half inch long. I hope there are some others hidden somewhere, and I fervently hope this one makes it and turns into a butterfly!

On top is a greater angle-winged katydid, apparently. Rhombus shaped, says Wikipedia.
