New Flooring

The door we've always used as the main entrance to church has been out of use for some time, and we've been going in a different entrance. But, now the new doors are fitted, new flooring is down, the alarm system is adjusted, the accessible toilet is almost finished, and term is upon us, we're back to coming in by this entrances again.

That door is not for the faint-hearted or the frail. I'm hoping once it's been used a bit more, with maybe a bit of adjusting done, and some getting used to it, it will be easier for everyone but right now it's quite tricky.

Our church teenagers are both off to pastures new for the next stages of their education. The younger one has definitely landed in their new setting, on a different continent, it was really odd having just the older one around today doing the hymn boards and candles tasks before having their twenty minutes or so playing the organ whilst I was finishing off my tidying up. (And chatting to parents). The older one goes off to university in a couple of weeks, but we're going to meet up next week for our usual music lesson and a day in church on Saturday doing some cleaning/sorting in the food bank before the harvest season gets going in earnest. (We're the recipients of a number of more affluent church's harvest collections!)

And, I'm back to my main workplace tomorrow. Deep breaths...
