Harvest time

My wife has been picking blackberries for some time now at the allotment (they have become the daily accompaniment to my breakfast cereal) and, as the main picture shows, the grapes are beginning to turn a nice shade of dark purple. Today, we picked our first squash, a yellow courgette and some corn cobs. The Beach Boys paen to 'Vegetables' came to.mind and made me Smile.

The recent rain seems to have revived the plot and it was good to see other plot holders at the site today beginning to reap the benefit of their horticultural efforts.
