Could not resist
On Saturday, when I went to Gloucester Road, I walked past lots of charity shops, and this was in the window of the Brandon Trust shop. They provide care and support for people with learning disabilities. They do quite a lot of creative and artistic work with their service users, and have an annual exhibition which is always a real pleasure.
So I went in and bought this little love (unfortunately I walked past the bookshelves to get to the till, and had to buy a Barbara Kingsolver as well:-)). When I got it home, I saw it has been made by one of their service users, who had signed the back. I absolutely love the face, as well as the rainbow colours, and I think the maker has wonderfully caught the sweetness of cats ( though not their evil side :-)). I always buy myself a birthday present and I think this is the one for this year.
As to purpose, so far I’ve used it as a spoon rest beside the cooker, and it seems perfect for that.
The end of August…. The end of the summer? I always think of the start of September as being the new year really. Therefore I need to have a little think about plans and priorities for this year.
