Harbour Seals

I went to the isle of Westray to look for autumn migrants, but very quiet. I got a couple of wheatear, ruff and knot.
Off the cliffs of Noup Head I could see about 75 grey seals on the skerries below. As the tide rose they disappeared as fast as commuters out of a subway train. I've noticed the same thing in reverse as the tide drops. Near the only village on the island, Pierowall, thirteen harbour seals were hauled out. Another in extras.
