Autumn

Today is the first day of the meteorological autumn.

Not to be confused with the astronomical autumn which is on 22 September 2025.

Nor the phenological autumn, which is, apparently is based on observable changes in nature, such as leaves turning colour and falling.

I think the latter started some weeks ago as a defence mechanism against the hot, dry summer.
