Little Egret

As you can see, I never got to the butterfly reserve today.  The sun came out, so I kept thinking, yes, I'll go, then the rain sheeted down ;(  So here instead is an egret I discovered in one of the rather empty/muddy waterways near the Winnall Moors reserve.  Rather handsome, don't you think?  And as there seem plenty of fish around at the moment, I guess he didn't stay hungry for long.  (I should have waited, I know, but honestly didn't want to get as wet as I'd have needed to to find out)

The rest of the day has been tiring and rather unexciting.  Average really, I guess I'm saying.  But half the afternoon was spent reading, so not all bad..
