In 1894 President Grover Cleveland signed into law making Labor Day a Federal US holiday. It’s celebrated on the first Monday of September • Happy September First • During our walk I noticed a dog in this small boat with a life preserver on. It’s something I’ve never seen before but what a good idea. I fully support dog safety on the water! • It reminds me of the tragedy that happened earlier this summer on the river. A man, his girl friend and dog went for a boat ride on the river. The dog jumped overboard so the owner jumped in to retrieve him. Sadly the man drowned trying to save the dog and his body wasn’t found for a day or two. The girlfriend actually jumped in too and was eventually rescued by someone in another boat, as was the dog • So tragic • After our walk we indulged in vegan ice cream sundaes • Delicious! • Peace, Love & Purrs
