Today began by discussing the staff budget I'm putting together with my Kiwi collaborator to bid for another year or two of funding. We're converging on a policy we can agree on. With no urgent deadlines, I updated the document chronicling our software project and sent it to И and our newer developer - who said it was a fantastic read! Meanwhile daughter L rang me to say that she'd booked a visit on Wednesday to the flat she's buying, so I booked travel and accommodation to go to London tomorrow.
In a week's time there will be a kickoff meeting for our consultancy project, and I'm due to give a 35 minute presentation on our software and the scope of the project. I've got most of the slides from talks I've given before, but it still takes time.
With little to cook in the fridge, I went out to Lidl, passing the Royal Hotel (pictured) as the light started to fade. I then prepared tea.
