What's happening?

We had a walk in Groomsport this morning - and we're not completely sure what was going on! At first view we thought the man was cleaning the roof of the canopy over the door, then as we got closer we realised there was a dog on top of the canopy. We think the dog must have got out the window onto the canopy and then couldn't get down! It obviously wasn't his dog because he wasn't very successful at getting the dog to come to him - when we got back to the car the man was down the ladder and the dog was still on top of the canopy! I hope they managed to get it down safely. 
The extra is a son of a school friend - he and his fiancee were married at the weekend, in Monterey, Mexico.
