Forth Crossings

A capture of the Forth Rail and Road bridges. Soon there will be a third bridge in this view, to be known as the Queensferry Crossing. Construction is well underway and this vantage point will eventually provide a view of the three bridges.

Tonight was the final summer meet with the Camera Club. Next week we begin the new 2013/14 season proper. It's a good move as the light diminished very quickly tonight and there was less than an hour of reasonable daylight on offer. It was particularly difficult for me as I only had a compact camera to hand (still waiting for a new shutter from Japan for the Nikon!).

The club decided to decend on Abercorn, a small hamlet on the south coast of the Firth of Forth where I believe there was once a monastery. Well today at least, there is a very lovely church there. However, I decided to blip an image taken earlier in day when the weather was warm and the light was hazy.
