Perseverance

When we left Bowral, our former neighbour was building a 2 seater plane from a kit. It’s an amazingly meticulous, painstaking task. Imagine inserting 16,500 rivets by hand, for a start. It would take years to complete. Equally amazing, he already has one similar plane, shown in the photo at the bottom right. He didn’t build that one but he does fly it.
 
We were horrified to hear recently that the workshop where he was working on the fuselage had been destroyed in a fire. All those years of painstaking work! Miraculously though, while the workshop was destroyed, the plane’s fuselage wasn’t damaged. It just needed hours more painstaking work to clean it of soot and grime.
