Hard Light & Shadow

This morning it was very bright, harsh sunlight and it still is as I type.  Harsh light produces its own difficulties, so the only thing to do was look for shadows.  It would good to be the city with its tall buildings creating shafts of light, but I will have to be satisfied with village scenes.  I have photographed this passageway before, but not from this direction.  Given the subject I think it has to be monochrome.
