Flowers from Wendy
It was a perfect swimming morning - high tide, calm sea, clear water, sunshine and no wind. We swam and frolicked more like selkies than BlueTits before coming out in the sun’s warmth to dry ourselves without a shiver in sight. To make matter even more wonderful, I was offered a lift home to the Meadows by Jude which meant I was almost home by 9am.
I had time to desand everything and have a coffee before the arrival of a large bouquet of flowers attached to the arm of Wendy, my unofficially adopted Orkney daughter. She is in town to celebrate her little Granddaughter’s 2nd birthday and it was lovely to see her and have a long chat while we demolished Soderberg’s halloumi salads. The sun shone on us for the duration of the visit but then blotted its copy book by allowing in a shower of rain the moment she left.
It has been Tuesday the Benificent in every respect.
