Burton Bradstock
We'd arranged to meet Marian's brother, George and Ann at Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock for a catch up today. It's about halfway between us, so made for a good meeting point.
It was throwing rain down all the way there but it eased off a bit as we arrived. We had a nice lunch and a good chat and by the time we got out, the sun had come out.
George and I left Marian and Ann and went for a walk along the coast path. We didn't walk all that far but when we reached the high point we got this great view of East Cliffs (these are the golden coloured cliffs that featured so strongly in the TV programme 'Broadchurch'). We're viewing from the less familiar west side with the pier at West Bay in the distance and Golden Cap behind.
Despite a lot of driving in fairly foul weather it's been an enjoyable day.
