The old curling pond
I failed to get a last minute yoga place so I used the morning to complete the recce of the heritage trail I’m leading for an after AGM activity later in the autumn. The curling pond in Pollok Park looked very distinctive today. It remained in use until the opening of the Crossmyloof ice rink after the First World War.
Walking towards The Vennel in Pollokshaws the heron was settled on the pathway and moved just as far as the fence to avoid me. Earlier there was a magnificent kingfisher fly past, the second this week.
Running with RunTalkRun felt a tad tiring and I was more than happy to run/walk with C. A roe deer ambled in front us in the North Wood.
