Scenic views

A great day in the Cairngorms and Moray. The weather was changeable but most of the time dry and some lovely spells of sunshine.

After a hearty breakfast we headed off to Cairngorm Mountain Railway, the highest in the UK. And the 6th highest mountain in the country. The weather was clear and the views from the viewing terrace were superb. So this shot has to be the photo of the day. However later in the day this view of the Cairngorms is my preferred one.

A drive to Dufftown to see Speyside then back and out for dinner the group of friends we are with for the week. So many photos today! And a hint of the northern lights.
