Quartz

Today was 12 hours on the run doing “Integrity” business.

Left home at 6 am and headed to Deep Run where we stopped and put up a new house flag at Linda’s place. Linda had gotten a flag when her son Jay died that she loved and it was in tatters. I found a replacement and this was Kent and I putting it up.

Then we went across the street and walked each room of Integrity and went over what WE needed to do. We batted around different ideas about the kitchen area and came up with an idea on how to add more cabinets.

We drove to Winterville for our appointment with the cabinet people and we went over what we had already discussed and our idea for more cabinets. Karri said it would work. Yay!

Doing a glass cabinet for my china. Getting a spice rack and storage for cookie sheets etc. Also getting a pantry cabinet with roll out shelves which is totally awesome.

Next we went to the tile place and picked the tile for the master bathroom shower and the kitchen backsplash. I’m super excited about my kitchen backsplash tile!!

Then we were off to Goldsboro and the stone place to pick our countertops and sinks. I already knew what sinks I wanted for the kitchen and the bathrooms, so the was super easy. We looked at lots of granite and some quartz but once I saw this quartz that was it for me, no question but that was it.

It was just after 6 pm when we got home again. A long but productive day. I’m beat and ready for my bed.
