Autumn approaches

Today the rain came in dribs and drabs, once unexpectedly  when my washing was on the line.  More is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Featured is one the flowers in the fading hanging basket attached to the house wall, no doubt grateful for moisture.
In other news:  Violet started her new secondary school today, which involves being ready for her transport at 7.30am.  We are no longer directly involved but saw lots of pictures of her on our family Whatsapp group.
Tomorrow, which promises to be wet and windy, Stella-Rose starts school for the first time.  Again we are not directly involved butt there will be lots of pictures no doubt and we will see her on Thursday when she comes out of school at lunchtime.
