Half done

A bit of anxiety overnight as a car whose owner we couldn’t identify was parked opposite where we thought our removers would want to be. They disappeared around 8 this morning and we were able to get some cones out before two huge trucks arrived with 5 workers. The traffic was able (just) to get through between them up our one way street and chaos was avoided.
They made relatively short work of the packing and loaded boxes and boxes of stuff and as much furniture as we could do without onto the trucks. Back in the morning to finish off.
We have a fair bit of stuff to do tonight but it’s going to be good not to have to rush and to have time to hoover and dust the spaces that are already empty.
But tell me why when we’ve had such a dry summer we are moving over a couple of days with such heavy showers of rain?
In other news Gorgeous Boy started at college today.
