The end of summer

It’s been a great summer for bees in my back garden and I’ve loved seeing them in such good numbers. Sadly with the cooler, wetter weather and the lack of flowers as we head into Autumn, the bees are few and far between. This little one found the last purple bract on the lavender to feed on this afternoon in a brief sunny spell.
