CLEMATIS TANGUTICA: A very vigorous deciduous climber with small, bright green, coarsely toothed divided leaves. Nodding, lantern-shaped single, golden-yellow flowers 4cm long in early summe
r and autumn, followed by attractive silky seed heads from autumn through winter.

Seen in abundance in friend Rose's lovely garden and now wearing its Autumn attire. I spent a quick lunch with her before my onward journey to a large M&S store on the outskirts of Stoke on Trent. My worst nightmare really, but needs must to get one or two little gifts for Mr HB's upcoming Birthday whilst we're away next week. A very nice grey lambswool jumper and some of his favourite chocs. I've already done an Ebook for him with lots of photos from the Midlands Airshow we went to earlier this year. Our trip to Duxford for the Battle of Britain Airshow on Sunday will be his best present though! Glad to say his poorly back is improving so I do hope he'll be able to enjoy it to the full.

Lots and lots of heavy rain showers today with some sunny spells. I've been inside somewhere or another for all of it though.
