Sky trumps Street

Raining mostly in Penrith today. I holed up in the garage painting component parts of a raised bed which I am adding to the garden (when it stops raining)
Early evening I went out for a quick walk around the town to see if I could get some street shots, it was raining on and off I was hoping for a colourful umbrella or two but no luck..
I got a couple of shots but didn't knock my socks off (extras), more practice needed.
At home later I noted the sky lighting up and took this shot from the "office" window. I've been struck recently at how my polaroid sunglasses really show the depth in the clouds, it's quite distracting when I'm driving as I find myself staring off into the clouds.. 
I used a CPL filter here to try to enhance the depth although I think in this case the colours are overpowering any subtle depth effect.
