Autumn takes hold

Just a couple of weeks ago there were masses of Bees collecting pollen from the Dahlias and although the profuse flowering continues the numbers of Bees have dropped off. I'm guessing the quality of the flowers is not so attractive these days. There were still about 20 Bumbles visiting the flowers plus a few Hoverflies one of which obliged. As the day wore on so did the frequency and intensity of the showers which scuppered any ideas of outdoor activities - see extra.
