Perseverance

I’m feeling ridiculously pleased with myself today, because I’ve been struggling to master this (quite simple) tune on my SimplyPiano app, and for weeks have been unable to get more than two out of three stars for my performance. 

Today I finally cracked three stars, and I punched the air with delight. I’ve practised it at least 80 times – and I know this because I’ve taken a screenshot of my score after each attempt! So my perseverance has paid off and my confidence has gone up a tiny notch.

And in other news, Smithers and I celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary today, alongside our middle son’s 49th birthday.
