Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

It's a start

One good thing about the replacement SMART meters being fitted was that the cupboard had to be emptied. I decided not to put these back. The girls are coming to check them before they go to the Charity shop although I may try to sell the Buchan odds and ends.
Thank you for your kindness yesterday. The funeral was at lunch time today. Thanks to the wonder of technology, my friend Raja drove Carrie to a florist to buy a wreath in my name and it was able to go to the funeral even although I couldn't be there in person. I feel the gap already.
This afternoon I met Janet and we went to visit one of my ladies and take her communion. The visit lasted an hour and a half, it's amazing how the flood gates open when someone who lives alone is given the chance to take to someone new.
I made contact with the Indian congregation who will be in church on Saturday and they have agreed to take the extras chairs that we brought in for Monday's service, back to the church hall. We are very grateful.
This evening we went back to Côte for one of our bargain main course offers, sadly by the time you add a glass of wine and another course it is no longer such a bargain. But it is tasty !
