Smokey 2227 hr
Quickie blip. I had been hoping to be out and about for World Photography Day but that didn't happen and I only had this session that lasted less than two minutes to snatch four shots of Smokey on one of the leather chairs in the living room.

Bob Dylan - Pretty Saro (recorded March 1970)
Bob Dylan had half a dozen attempts at recording this seventeenth century ballad for his album Self Portrait, perhaps inspired by his wife Sara Lownds, but all were canned in favour of Belle Isle, which appeared with overdubbed strings and things.
Pretty Saro was made available as a download single this month in advance of the next volume in his Bootleg Series, Another Self Portrait, comprising out-takes, alternative versions and related items. The new 2CD album was streamed online from this date and I listened to the whole thing, which included the original sparse version of Belle Isle, and this acoustic performance, as good or better as anything on the original album.
