I picked this off the tree ten minutes before taking the first bite.

Off to do the same with brambles now. Charlie and I had our first bowl of porridge of autumn this morning. We need bramble syrup to keep us going until the elderberries are ripe.

And jam. And jelly. And bramble & apple pie. With rough puff pastry.

Oh and gin. And vinegar...

It's a very busy time of year. The very best time of year.
