Colin and Karen's Wedding Day...

Although we had a brilliant weekend down in London, the main reason for being there was these two people in the centre of the picture, my brother Colin and new sister in law, Karen.

I have actually thought that even though these two did find a rather perfect match in each other, they weren't ones to be looking for a day like this. But then last christmas we got message that the proposal was done and accepted.

What a wonderful day with so many highlights, it's going to be hard to put it all down. I'll maybe just add to this as I remember over the day.

Bethany was being a flower girl so she was taken over to Karen's house in the morning to get kitted out to join the bridal party in a horse drawn carriage across London. Ewan and myself got kilted up and walked up to the venue (albeit overly very early so passed the time playing ping pong in St Pancras station). Luc (the best man's son, suited and helping organise with his walkie talkie), the bride arrival, the strange random tourist who wanted a photo with the bridal arrival party, the ceremony, the venue in the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel (stunning venue that has only recently been fully restored to be very befitting of it's name, from a near derelict in the last couple of years with apparently this being their first wedding event put on. The dinner, the polaroid cameras and boxes of toys under the tables for the kids, the speeches including from the very frail father of the bride. The jewish smashing of the glass, the chair lifting the wedded couple and dancing, the jewish/scottish dancing, the disco, the leopard print suited DJ, the photo booth wedding book and the whole party with all our family and newly knitted family.

Hugely extravagant and tremendously meticulously organised by the couple. A truly memorable day.
