Life is a Challenge!

FLOWER FRIDAY - SPOILT FOR CHOICE!

We still have lots of flowers blooming in the garden, so I decided to have a wander around - wearing proper shoes, bearing in mind what happened last Friday!  Strangely enough, I very rarely pick them but enjoy them where they are planted - and perhaps that's what we need to do - bloom where we are planted!

It was quite chilly so I didn’t hang around for too long photographing the various flowers - and the grass was quite wet, but it was lovely to see all these beautiful blooms.  I have put the Dahlia “Bora Bora” in the middle of my collage, because it is so gorgeous.  I just hope that there are no frosts while we are on holiday in the next couple of weeks, so that Mr. HCB can lift the tubers of his dahlias and save them until next year.  He didn’t actually grow this one from seed, but many of the others were grown by him.

I had a good rest last night and having done a very small amount of grocery shopping this morning, will be going to a funeral at lunchtime, for the mother of L, one of the volunteers at our Community Fridge, so several of us are going to support her and her daughter.

“Give freely to the world these gifts
     of love and compassion.
Do not concern yourself with how much
     you receive in return,
just know in your heart
     it will be returned.”
