Gently down the stream

Landscape with samphire

Today, as you can see, I went to the coast.  I thought my eye was well-healed enough, but didn't realise just how windy it would be.  That of course also discouraged the birds from sitting around, so trying to blip them was not a fun pastime.  Besides, all I saw were Canada geese, a meadow pipit and a couple of distant egrets, so I thought instead I'd show you a wide shot of where I walk.

The bird reserve is behind the fence on the left, its 'fortifications' strengthened by the outside channel.  Between that and the sea wall is a path for walkers.  And although you can't see the Solent, those hills in the distance are part of the Isle of Wight (yes, we won't repeat the 'Pile of ...' joke!!).  The samphire of the title is the crimson plant within the reserve.

And I've added an extra of a launch.

Now I must hurry up and see what you've all been up to.  Wishing you all a very happy weekend  xx
