Crocus

Mrs B tells me that this is an Autumn Crocus, native to hotter countries than the UK.  She reminds me that we saw them when visiting El Torcal in Spain, years ago.

I saw the flowers when I was mowing (the clover that our lawn has become) and thought to return and photograph them with my favourite lens (Fujifilm XF30mm macro); but when I did so they looked rather as if they had started to deteriorate. Past their best, perhaps.
