Shining

There is something very special about the light in September. It is similar in April, but then it’s the morning which shine; right now I am transfixed by the evening light, as the sun sinks low about an hour before sunset.

This photo was taken as we walked around the garden on the paths I had mowed this afternoon. I am wondering if it will be the last mow of the season…but probably not. The grass is still growing, but dry days are fewer and the dew lies heavy in the mornings when the sky is clear overnight.

It looks like a fine day tomorrow, so enjoy whatever you have planned :-)
