Diary of an Edinburgher

Breakfast

Elizabeth came early to pick Archie up. They were going to visit Auntie Helen, as she loves seeing him.

And so, when JR came home from the gym, and only had one part of her breakfast, we decided to pop round to Bruntsfield and have the next part. Yes, our favourite cafe was the destination. JR had a rather large plateful of eggs, avocado, and FOUR doorstop wedges of sourdough toast. Oh, and marmalade... I had a (large) scone.

From there, we fancied a little something else... and happened to pop into Piggs, a rather nice tapas bar that has thankfully changed its VERY LOUD MUZAC to something more acceptable, and had a glass of wine.

Back home, I watched the Piper Alpha documentary, while JR went into town on the pretext of depositing the used coffee pods in the new place, not John Lewis now.

Started to watch 'The Thursday Murder Club' last night but, although everybody else in the country seems to love it, I gave up after 20 minutes of the completely ridiculous plot. Oh, I know it's a best selling book, but I can't be bothered with such drivel.

But I see The Diplomat Season Three returns next month.
