Friday Ups and Downs (Literally)
FRIDAY
A brighter and warmer day today.
I managed a second run of the week, taking a 9 km route through Waen and Rhuallt, then back to Tremeirchion. The clockwise loop includes several hills including a very steep climb up St Beuno's hill, which really slowed me down to walking pace.
I completed the 9 km (with 140 m of elevation) in a slow 1:01:23.
This evening, I headed over to the bowling green at Rhuddlan to play for the 'A' team in yesterday's postponed match against Dyserth A. Conditions were still heavy and damp. The 'A' team struggled overall, with just two winners out of ten. I was trailing 14-8 in my own game but managed to turn it around and win 21-19.
In other news,in the lower division Dyserth B beat East Parade 9-3. That result means they've pipped our 'B' team to promotion by just a single point. If only we hadn’t messed things up on 14 August.
The main photo was taken on this morning’s run, and the extra is from tonight’s bowls match.
19,085 steps so far.
