Exploring Gord
A beautiful sunny day, with clouds passing over. Breezy at times, and a lovely 18-19⁰c.
A morning working on my own. I was weeding the whole length of Burgh Road in Lerwick, Lindsay gave a hand with weed spraying. An afternoon with Dan, chopping back a tree and a couple of bulky removals. Walkies with Sammy after work. Popped down to mam's this evening, headed out for a walk with Jonny, we also met friend Isobel (Johnson), who joined us for a while. Feet up at home now.
The first part of our walk took us to these old houses, mam and Jonny hadn't been here in 40 years. We were trying to figure out which house granny Lorna was born in, now thinking it was maybe in the one that was demolished 20 odd year ago. When I was a boy, the house behind still had a roof, which used to play inside, it was also furnished. Mam and Jonny at Gord, Cunningsburgh.
