Smoky

For the first time this year, I've noticed the distinct smell of smoke coming from the forest fires in BC and Washington state.
Apart from the smell, the colour of the sun is a real give away about it and there is an unmistakable haze in the air.

Air quality alerts are in place, I suppose we'll just have to hope the wind shifts sooner rather than later. But lord knows how the people closer to the fires are coping with it.


Ah well...
